Please note that peak season for Koh Lipe accommodation lasts from December until March and busy holiday weekends outside of that period, such a Songkran (mid April) and Chinese new year. (full moon in February) Most resorts will adjust their prices then so if you’re visiting during these periods you can expect to pay premium prices for everything. Should you happen to be traveling on a budget then you should try to avoid these holiday periods. Early December is a great alternative time to come as the island is generally quite calm before the Christmas and New Years rush.
October / November and April / early May are considered the normal high season, rates are less than in the peak high season but good deals book up fast so try to make your reservation well in advance in order to get the best rates.
Also as Malaysia is so close, we get a lot of Malaysians and Singaporeans traveling here just for the weekend so confirming rooms on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday can be difficult in the peak high season so if your trip allows for flexibility then you should try to avoid the weekends in oder to secure the best available quality accommodation.
From June through September is our green season in Koh Lipe and accommodation is a considerably less than that of the peak or the high. It’s a great time to visit and although this is the monsoon period much of the rain falls in the night time so the days are generally quite dry. May is usually very dry with clear sunny skies. It’s my favourite month. September and October tend to be the months with the heaviest rainfall.
We offer a range of accommodation options ranging from a basic fan room to budget aircon rooms to deluxe air con rooms with breakfast at the Reef Resort. (supplements apply) The accommodation options are also very close by to the reputable PADI dive centre that I work with and only a few minutes walk to Sunrise beach. The accommodation options all have private ensuite bathrooms with a hot water shower and great locations in proximity to the yoga classes, the beach and The Walking street.
Should you prefer an individual traditional style bungalow instead of the modern style Scandinavian inspired room in The Reef then we do have another Guesthouse called “The Homestay” located right next to the Keirita’s yoga Studio. It has individual spacious bungalows with hot water shower, TV, complimentary water and WIFI. All Bungalows come with a private balcony with a wall mounted fan and comfortable seating. They do not have a website but you can view pictures of the bungalows in the accommodation gallery should you be interested in this accommodation.
While breakfast is not available in The Homestay all rooms come equipped with a fridge and tea an dock making facilities so you can keep your drinks, yogurts or muslie etc cold in the fridge should you prefer to eat breakfast at home on your balcony some mornings. There are also several great bakeries and breakfast places either next door or very nearby on the walking street.
