Keirita's Yoga & Diving

Our location & How to get here

Welcome to Keirita’s Yoga & Scuba diving! We are located in Thailands far south west coast. (that’s the Phuket side) Right in the Andaman sea which offers some of the most rich diversity of marine life in Thailand especially when compared with the diving in the gulf of Thailand (the Samui Side, East coast) We are so far south that we are actually closer to mainland Malaysia than mainland Thailand which can make travelling here via Langkawi in Malaysia a little easier than from Hat Yai in Thailand.

Our Locations past & present

Over the last 13 years Keirita’s yoga has had several studio locations in both the Phi Phi Islands & Koh Lipe Island. Please note that yoga classes are only offered in Koh Lipe Island now.  All 8am & 5pm classes are held inside the Keirita’s Yoga studio in central Koh Lipe pictured above. Currently the 6:30am beach classes are held every day except tue & fri in the Idyllic Concept resort’s yoga deck overlooking Sunrise beach. On Tue & Fri, the 6:30am is held in the Akira Resort on Pattaya Beach.   You can view the current class locations here.,99.3053823,17z

How to Get to Koh Lipe

Koh Lipe is a very small island in the Tarutao National Marine Park, Thailand’s largest marine park.

Getting To Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe is 60km from the nearest mainland Thai port of Pak Bara, & 40km from Langkawi.. The easiest way to get here is from either Pak Bara or Langkawi, but during. The high season from late October to late April & there are speedboats & ferries connecting Koh Lipe with all the islands & areas up & down the coast including Koh Lanta, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi & Phuket.

During the low season, from May to the end of October, the only direct boats to Koh Lipe are from Pak Bara. To get to Koh Lipe from Langkawi you can travel via Satun to Pak Bara & catch a speed boat to Koh Lipe.

The journey between Pak Bara & Koh Lipe takes about 75 minutes direct, but during the season some boats (13:30pm) stop at Tarutao or other islands along the way making for a much longer journey (2+hrs). Make sure you take some bottled water with you.

If you are outside Thailand you can either fly to Bangkok, Langkawi, Hat Yai, Krabi or Phuket. Langkawi is the easiest option.

From Bangkok
From Bangkok fly to Hat Yai. From Hat Yai travel to Pak Bara, the journey by taxi takes about 2 hours  When booking a flight make sure you leave enough time to catch the last boat. (13:30 green season 15:00 peak season)  Once at Pak Bara pier you are nearly there, take the speedboat to Koh Lipe (travel time approximately 70 minutes)

If you don’t want to fly then the other options are train or long distance bus to Hat Yai or ferry from Phuket, none of which I really recommend unless you have oodles of time.

From Phuket
If you fly into Phuket during the high season then you can travel down by speedboat to Koh Lipe. The coastal road in this area has got some great scenery so you can also come by bus or taxi to Pak Bara & & then catch the speedboat to Koh Lipe.

From Langkawi (recommended option)
Once you’ve made it to Langkawi you are only a 20 minute taxi ride to the pier & just a 2 hour ferryboat ride to Koh Lipe. During the high season this route can get quite busy so you should book your tickets in advance & remember to confirm your return ticket too. Be aware that in low season there is no immigration center on Koh Lipe soamp; you cannot travel directly from Langkawi to Lipe.

From Hat Yai
From Hat Yai it takes about 2 hours by minibus transfer or taxi to the port of Pak Bara. We can book the minibus or a taxi & speedboat for you for 900 THB per person each way.

Arriving to Koh Lipe
Once you arrive in Koh Lipe you will either disembark the boat directly into a local Thai longtail boat, (if you’re coming by ferry from Langkawi) or your speedboat will take you directly to the beach if you’re coming from Pak Bara. In high season The Pak Bara speedboats boats drop you on the east side of Pattaya beach. In low season the Pak Bara speedboats drop you on the north side of Sunrise beach. From both locations you can either walk to your hotel or take a motorbike taxi for a flat fee of just 50 THB per person.
